TK from Ling Tosite Sigure released his new song "Ashidematoi" on November 4. It arrives in the middle of his 15th year as a solo artist. According to Sony Music Japan, the title points not at someone else but at himself: the feeling of being the one who holds yourself back from where you want to go.

The song keeps changing shape from section to section, layering a choir, strings and koto player LEO into the arrangement (per Pia, October 28).

Sold out abroad first

This year TK played his first North American tour, with sold-out shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and Mexico City. His July Asia dates at Zepp New Taipei and YES24 WANDERLOCH HALL in Seoul also sold out, bringing more than 10,000 people across the two tours, Pia reports.

Japan tour from November 7, first solo Budokan in December

The Japan tour "TK from Ling Tosite Sigure TOUR 2026 Seiheki" opens November 7 at GOLDSTONE in Otaru, Hokkaido, then runs through LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo, Sendai, Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya and Hiroshima. It ends with his first solo show at Nippon Budokan on December 27, with suis from Yorushika as special guest, the first time the two longtime collaborators share a stage.

From the BRUSH MUSIC desk

Pre-saves opened a week before release, and the tour starts three days after it. The day you put a song out and the day people can hear it live sit close together. Indie artists can borrow this: book one show right after release day, and you have a simple reason to say "come hear the new song."
