About registering a song

​

- Karaoke distribution entry is done one song at a time.

- There are materials you need to prepare, so please have them ready before you register.

- Video, audio and lyrics are uploaded through a system that aligns them automatically.

→ If the video ends up out of sync, or if you give detailed instructions, an additional 10,000 yen on top of the standard fee applies depending on the work involved. Please note this in advance.

- You may only submit songs for which you are both the author and the owner of the master, or for which you have permission from both.

- Covers and instrumental tracks cannot be entered. Original songs only.
- Some functions, such as the guide melody and scoring, may not be available for your song.
- After you apply, the distribution must be renewed every 180 days. If you do not wish to continue, please let us know.
- Even on supported models, some venues will not carry the song, depending on their setup and policy.
- Only some menus apply, such as searching by song title or artist name.

　→ Some services are unavailable, including scoring and Utasuki member services such as Utasuki Douga and My Uta.
- It takes about a month for the song to appear in the search menu.

- Once you have entered, video, images and lyrics cannot be changed. Please make your final checks before entering.

　→ If a correction is needed, it has to be entered again as a new submission, with the fee charged again. Please take care.
- This service handles the submission process for Utasuki Music Post (karaoke distribution on JOYSOUND), operated by XING Inc., on your behalf. If you would rather register yourself, please see the JOYSOUND website.

​・Royalties (copyright usage fees) apply to works and rights entrusted to JASRAC or placed under the management of NexTone Inc.

Karaoke usage fees are paid by XING Inc. to JASRAC and NexTone, and distributed from them to the rights holders. Works and rights not entrusted or managed, and master rights (neighbouring rights), are licensed to XING Inc. free of charge.
