XG Previews Lyrics for 'S.A.D' From New Release 'DEPENDS', Out Nov. 6, With Their First U.S.-Only CD
On October 15, XG posted the lyrics and a teaser video for 'S.A.D' on their official social media without warning. The song is from 'DEPENDS', a new release coming out on November 6. The lyrics were shown in a mirrored design, and the teaser uses what appears to be a short snippet of the track.
A song that asks what lies beyond sadness
'S.A.D' asks whether facing sadness is a weakness or a strength. It is described as a song that stands with the 'Sad ones' around the world and accepts pain and contradiction as they are. The post carried the line: 'What's on the other side of sadness?'
Two songs, and XG's first U.S.-only CD
'DEPENDS' contains two songs: the title track 'DEPENDS' and 'S.A.D'. It will also be XG's first CD sold only in the United States, and pre-orders have already opened.
World tour finale at two domes in February 2027
XG are in the middle of XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, 33 shows across Asia, Europe, Australia and North America. They played Melbourne on October 12 and Sydney on October 14. The finale is set for February 2027 at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka, two nights at each venue for four shows in total.
A note from BRUSH MUSIC
A group from Japan is releasing its new CD in the United States first and only. While touring and meeting audiences abroad, XG seem to be choosing which country gets which format, song by song. Sharing the lyrics before the sound is another small step to help listeners connect across languages.
