Rol3ert Takes His Debut Album to Indonesia and the Philippines, With a Free Showcase in Jakarta and a Halloween Show in Quezon City
Japanese singer-songwriter Rol3ert will perform in Indonesia and the Philippines to promote his debut album "meet me in my head," released on October 21. On October 28 he holds the showcase and fan meeting "Rol3ert 'meet me in my head' Showcase & Fan Meet" at Houma in Jakarta, and on October 31 he appears at the "After Dark Halloween Party" in the 4th-floor garden of TriNoma in Quezon City.
Meeting every fan in Jakarta
The Jakarta showcase features performances of songs from the album and a talk session, followed by a meet-and-greet with every attendee. Dinner will be served and there will be a raffle for merchandise. Admission is free, but advance registration is required. In the Philippines, Rol3ert will do radio and TV promotion on October 30, and the October 31 event is also free to attend.
From cover videos to listeners abroad
Born in the United States in 2005 and raised in Japan from the age of two, Rol3ert began his solo career in earnest in January 2025. Cover videos he posted on Instagram drew listeners from outside Japan, and his original songs have since spread through overseas playlists and social media. In 2026 he was selected for Spotify's "RADAR: Early Noise 2026" and won the Radio Special Award at MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026. He has played shows in Korea, Singapore and Taiwan, where his solo show sold out, and his first solo concerts in Tokyo and Osaka follow in November.
Our take
Right after releasing an album, he is going to meet the listeners who found him online first, not in big venues but through free showcases and local media appearances. Lining up a release with face-to-face moments abroad is a useful model for Japanese artists who want to reach audiences overseas.
