kiOra, the Japanese girl group behind the "TOKYO HYPER CITY POP" sound, will perform at YouTube Music Nights 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Thursday, Nov. 5. The show will be streamed live on kiOra's official YouTube channel, so fans in Japan and around the world can watch in real time.

A night presented by YouTube Indonesia and the Embassy of Japan

YouTube Music Nights is YouTube's official live event series held in cities around the world. This edition is hosted by YouTube Indonesia with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia. The lineup features JKT48, PAPION, kiOra and Haruki Hamano, with Hiroaki Kato as MC, bringing Japanese and Indonesian music culture together on one stage.

The venue is KRAPELA, a live space in Blok M, Jakarta. It is a premium show for a limited audience, starting at 8 p.m. local time (10 p.m. Japan time). Each artist will stream the performance live on their official YouTube channel.

From Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles to Jakarta

kiOra made their first overseas appearance at CENTRAL26 in KUALA LUMPUR in August and released their debut single "Coco" worldwide on Aug. 8. The music video had an advance screening at the Head In The Clouds festival in Los Angeles before premiering on the group's official YouTube channel. The song features contributions from her0ism, Yaeji, Mechatok, Kanata Okajima and Chelsea Warner.

Their next single, "KIRAKIRA," will be released digitally on Friday, Nov. 13.

Editor's view

About three months after their debut, kiOra are moving from stage to stage across Asia and North America and pairing each local event with a YouTube live stream. Even when only a limited audience can be in the room, the stream lets fans in Jakarta and in Japan watch the same show at the same moment. Turning a single overseas gig into a broadcast for the whole world is an approach worth noting for Japanese artists aiming abroad.
